The journey of Bayt Al-Zakat in Australia started in 1989 with the launch of the “Orphan Sponsorship” program to sponsor orphans in North Lebanon. Few years later other projects were established aimed to support the poor and needy in North Lebanon: the “Qurban-Adahi” (Sacrificial animals), the "Food Parcels" and other “Ramadhan” projects.

While the world is combating COVID-19, Bayt Al-Zakat Australia continues to assist the poor and needy in North Lebanon through its Food Parcel Emergency Appeal.
These Food Parcels will be distributed to Disadvantaged families in North Lebanon.
Sponsorships donations are used to provide sponsored orphans, and their guardians, financial, educational and medical support as well as various social and sport activities.
